Mountpark moves ahead with 757,556 SQ FT speculative development in Warrington.30th Jan 2018
Known as Mountpark Warrington Omega, the scheme comprises four distribution centres and has the potential to attract up to 2,000 jobs. The first three units of 346,153 sq ft, 136,962 sq ft and 90,771 sq ft are due to complete in November 2018. The fourth building, which will provide 183,669 sq ft is scheduled to complete in May 2019.
Omega South is part of the 575 acre mixed use Omega scheme at Junction 8 of the M62 north of Warrington, midway between Liverpool and Manchester.
“We decided to build speculatively at Omega South because we believe it offers some of the best opportunities for logistics operators in the North West,” said Philip O’Callaghan, Managing Director, Mountpark UK and Ireland. “There is strong demand in the region and very little supply, so we are confident that this new development will help to meet our customers’ requirements.”
CBRE and JLL are acting on behalf of Mountpark.
Since its formation in 2014, Mountpark Logistics has acquired 16 sites with the potential to deliver over 20 million sq ft of logistics accommodation. The company is currently constructing a speculative development programme of around 1.5 million sq ft at Mountpark Warrington Omega, Mountpark Southampton Phase II and Mountpark Baldonnell in Dublin.
